Additional Details
A new reporting engine based on JasperReports Library is bundled as part of the base Windchill installation. This implementation augments the reporting capabilities available with the Query Builder and Report Builder functionalities with richer layout and formatting support.
When upgrading to Windchill 12.0.0.0 and later releases, PTC recommends that you use JasperReports or Report Builder to render out-of-the-box Cognos-based reports. For custom Cognos-based reports, use JasperReports or any other reporting application. JasperReports is the default reporting engine for new customers.
Reports can be launched from contexts such as Change Management or Quality Management, and viewed and exported in formats such as HTML, PDF, Excel, and CSV.
The new implementation supports the following Jasper-based reports, which are equivalent to their previous Cognos-based versions:

◦ Change Notice Summary Report
◦ Change Review Summary Report
• Quality Management
◦ CAPA History Report
◦ Customer Experience History Report

The implementation will support the reports in Configuration Management in a future Windchill release.
The reports for the following areas are exposed through the existing Query Builder utility:
• Supplier Management
• Quality Management, except for the reports implemented using JasperReports that are listed above.
• Windchill Aerospace and Defense Module (WADM)
All the reports for Requirements Management are removed from Windchill. The reports listed for the following areas are no longer available in Windchill.
