Customizing Publishing
For publishing an information structure, a publication structure, or parts list, there are several configuration tasks you must have fulfilled. These tasks are ordinarily performed by your Windchill administrator.
• Windchill PDMLink must be installed and configured.
• Windchill Service Information Manager must be installed and configured. Optionally, Windchill Service Parts can be installed and configured.
• A publication structure and an information structure folder are added as part of the installation. These structures must be defined before publishing. Optionally, a parts list can also be defined and published.
• Windchill Visualization Services must be set up for publishing.
• a SIS Worker must be configured and enabled.
• a WVS publishing rules file must be set up.
• Arbortext Publishing Engine must be set up on a supported Windows server to manage publishing requests from WVS.
