Resolving Multiple Delayed FDA UDI Submissions
Windchill provides a way to resolve multiple delayed or failed UDI submissions without having to manually edit each submission. These submissions have been delayed for at least four hours or have experienced a transmission failure. To resolve individual submissions, see Resolving Individual Delayed UDIs.
*
Only the Library Manager and Organization Administrator roles can perform these tasks.
Follow these steps to resolve multiple delayed or failed UDI submissions in Windchill.
1. On your UDI library Utilities page, click UDI Transmission Delay Management. The Delayed UDI Submissions window displays all UDI submissions that are in the Delayed state in the current container.
2. From the Delayed Action list, select one of the following:
Wait—Clears this task and waits another four hours, allowing the submission additional time to complete.
Resubmit—Sends the submission to the FDA again. Contact the FDA before selecting this action.
Force to Closed—Forces the workflow to the Closed state. This action assumes that the submission was successful, but no successful acknowledgement was received. Contact the FDA before selecting this action.
Set as Failed—Treats the submission as a failure, allowing editing of the UDI with another submission attempt. Contact the FDA before selecting this action.
3. In the Delayed Comment field, type your comment.
4. In the Delayed Submissions table, select the submissions. You can select individual submissions or all submissions. Select the checkbox next to the UDI Name column to select all submissions.
5. Click Finish. The system applies the Delayed Action and Delayed Comment to the submissions selected in the table. The submissions advance to the next state.
