Windchill CAPA Roles
Based on your CAPA role, you can perform different activities, tasks, and actions. However, all CAPA users can access CAPA tasks in read-only mode. An administrator defines permission levels for CAPA users. Windchill CAPA provides default roles for CAPA users. If you are an administrator, you can manage CAPA roles in the Members table. For more information, see Members Table.
CAPA records often require authorizations, reviews, and signatures. The number and types of approvers, the order in which they review the record, and other aspects of the routing are configurable. The default configuration provided by Windchill CAPA contains approvals for the following tasks:

This role has all the permissions on the CAPA object. Post upgrade, an administrator should create policy access control rules from Policy Administration to assign all permissions to this role.

CAPA Requester

CAPA request review
Users in this role accept, reject, or cancel CAPA requests, and perform CAPA Manager tasks. Users in this role also have the authority to review new requests and return them to the CAPA Requester for additional information, or accept the request into the system. The CAPA Reviewer can assign the new CAPA to an owner (or owner group) for further investigation.

This role can create new CAPA requests and add or edit people and places, using the Utilities tab.
Quality Document Creator

If Windchill CAPA has been installed as a standalone product, then this role can create a new document from Utilities > Quality Document Administration.
Quality Part Creator

If Windchill CAPA has been installed as a standalone product, then this role can create a new part from Utilities > Quality Part Administration.
Quality System Manager
All tasks
The user who creates a quality context is automatically assigned the role of Quality System Manager, who can do the following:
Invite team members to join the quality context and assign them the necessary roles.
Make changes to the quality context’s team, such as adding, removing, or replacing team members.
Add or remove roles for the quality context.
Change a nonconformance’s workflow state from a nonconformance’s information page by choosing Actions > Set State.
