Creating an Explicit Attribute-to-Parameter Mapping
Use the following procedure to create an explicit attribute-to-parameter mapping:
1. In the Manage Types window, view the type for which you want to create the explicit attribute-to-parameter mapping.
2. Attributes on the CAD Document subtypes of the following types can be explicitly mapped to CAD parameters:
EPM Document
EPM Document Reference Link
EPM Document Uses Link
3. Select Edit from the Actions menu of the type information page to enter edit mode.
4. Open the information page for the attribute.
5. On the attribute information page, all available CAD applications are already present as properties on the attribute. Enter the CAD parameter name for the CAD system you want to map the attribute to in the appropriate properties. The value entered must match the name of the parameter in CAD application.
A single Windchill attribute can be mapped to multiple parameters using a pipe (|) key to separate the mappings. The multiple parameters must not be from the same CAD Document.
6. Click Done to save your changes and return to view mode. Click Save to save your changes, but remain in edit mode.
