While there can be association constraints defined on multiple object reference attributes on a type, one object reference attribute is defined out-of-the-box as being the main or primary attribute for object-to-object relationships for the type. This attribute is identified in the Attributes tab of the type information page with the primary association constraints icon . Clicking the primary association constraint icon opens the attribute information page for that attribute, with the Legal Types tab displayed.
