Enabling or Disabling a Document Template
Enabling a template means that the template is ready for use. Enabling or disabling a template enables or disables the template in all contexts where it is available; you cannot enable a template in one context and disable it in another. Making the template available for use in one context and not in another can be accomplished by filtering the visibility of the template.
Users can create documents from a document template only if the template is enabled and visible.
The actions to enable and disable a document template can be found on the Templates table where you can display the templates that are available from a context and from the information pages for document templates.
From the right-click actions menu for a document template, select Enable to enable a disabled template or select Disable to disable an enabled template.
You can also enable a template when you check in an edited version of the template.
*
If you enable a document template, then any previous version or iteration of that document template that had been enabled is disabled. Only one version or iteration of a document template can be enabled at one time.
