Editing the Sourcing Rule
When editing a rule, you can change the following:
• Add or remove a classification node
• Change the sourcing status value for a node
• Change the order in which the rules are applied

The updated rule is not applied automatically. To apply the rule, you must execute it.

To edit a sourcing rule:
1. In the
Sourcing Rules table, right-click a rule and the click
. The
Edit Sourcing Rule window opens.
2. To add another classification node for which you want to specify the sourcing status, click the new sourcing status assignment icon
. The
New Sourcing Status Assignment window opens.
3. Select the sourcing status value from the drop-down list.
4. Do one of the following to specify whether classification is considered in sourcing status assignments:
◦ To consider classification in the sourcing status assignment, enter the classification node name or click FIND to search a classification node to which the rules are to be applied. Click OK to return to the New Sourcing Rule window. The classification node is displayed under the Classification column of the New Sourcing Rule window.
◦ To disregard classification in the sourcing status assignment, do not enter data in the Classification field. Click OK to return to the New Sourcing Rule window. For this rule, Any Classification is displayed in the Classification column of the New Sourcing Rule window for that sourcing status assignment.
The rule is added to the
Sourcing Status Assignments table. You can remove a row from the table by selecting the row and clicking
.
5. Right-click on a row and change the priority. You can change the sourcing status by right-clicking a row and selecting Modify Sourcing Status Assignment.

6. Click OK to close the window.
