Importing Objects with Security Labels Using an Import File
Objects with security labels can be imported in multiple ways, including using the Import/Export Management utility, the Import from File action, or a container template. To import data with security labels using an import file, add a <SecurityLabels> element with a <SecurityLabel> child element for each security label name/value pair. Refer to the DTD definition for each object type you want to import with security labels for placement of the <SecurityLabels> subelement. The DTD definitions can be found in the <Windchill>/codebase/registry/ixb/dtds/standardX20.dtd directory, where <Windchill> is the location where Windchill is installed.
The format for the exported object type should remain the same when imported. Element values can change, but the basic format of the file should not. For an example of the exported format, see Exporting Objects with Security Labels.
