Creating Numbering Scheme Rule Content
Changes to numbering schemes are made by adding or modifying object initialization rules that define the default number value in the context where you want the change to be in effect. The numbering scheme can be set in the number attribute defined for parts, baselines, documents, CAD documents, dynamic documents, and change objects using the AttrValue tag or the VarDef tag. The numbering scheme can be set up as follows:
Define just a generated value that then becomes the number of the part, baselines, document, CAD document, dynamic document, or change object.
Define constants, attributes, and default attribute values so that they appear on either side of a generated value. This combination of constants, attributes, default attribute values, and a generated value then becomes the number of the part, baseline, document, or change object. For details, see Defining Constants and Attributes along with a Generated Value and Using Default Attribute Values along with a Generated Value.
You can turn off autonumbering in a specific context by specifying no constraint in the AttrConstraint tag.
