Filling in Forms and Using Form Buttons
There are specific characters and character combinations that require special attention when filling in Property Administration forms. The back slash (\) character, for example, is used as an escape character in LDAP entries. To use a back slash in a form, you must enter two back slashes (\\).
While filling in forms, keep in mind that if the Property Administration utility remains idle for too long, the user is required to send authentication information again.
Some Property Administration buttons only appear once a property has been added to a form.
The following buttons appear when using the Property Administration utility:

Add
After entering information in a text box, click Add to display the information in the form.
Cancel
Click Cancel to return to the main Property Administration page without saving changes.
Create Adapter
Click Create Adapter to save changes and create the adapter.
Create Service
Click Create Service to save changes and create the service.
Edit
Click Edit to open a new window with a larger text box to enter the value.
OK
Click OK to save changes. Changes are not saved if you do not click OK.
Refresh Now
Click Refresh Now to immediately refresh the Property Administration main page. The Property Administration main page reflects the status of services and adapters when the Property Administration utility is started or last refreshed. Refreshing the page keeps the information current.
Remove
Click Remove to delete configuration information you have manually entered, such as Additional Properties or Additional Services values.
Remove Form
Click Remove Form to delete a form template from the Form Editor menu.
Remove Service
Click Remove Service to remove the service or adapter from the Property Administration utility and to delete the LDAP entry from the LDAP server. The Property Administration utility prompts you to confirm the request.

Appears next to the Co-Resident Services field (if added). Click [view] to display the form for the co-resident service in a new window.
