Creating a Vaulting Rule
To view vaulting rules, select a domain and its corresponding context using the domain picker. The Domain Vaulting Rules table displays the vaulting rules present for the selected domain.
When you create a vaulting rule for a main site or a File Server site, you can use all objects implementing the interface wt.content.ContentHolder that are DomainAdministered and LifeCycleAdministered. Additional objects you can use are:
wt.viewmarkup.DerivedImage
wt.viewmarkup.WTMarkUp
wt.epm.familytable.EPMSepFamily Table
To create a new rule:
1. Select a domain by clicking to open the Find Domain window for the appropriate context.
2. Click . The Vaulting Rule window opens.
3. In the Classes area, select the object class that the rule applies to from the hierarchical tree. The tree displays the classes in the current domain. Because the classes are hierarchical, a rule created for the class you select extends to its subclasses as well.
The classes that are displayed may not include some abstract classes. However, the classes that appear in the Classes area are the complete set of classes that can appear in valid rules.
4. From the States list, select a life cycle state.
5. From the Site list, select a site.
6. From the Master Vaults list, select a vault. This list displays the vaults that you defined using the Vault Configuration window.
*
Only one class, one life cycle state, and one file vault can be specified within a single rule. Additionally, a single object type and life cycle state combination can be linked to only one file vault.
7. Click OK.
