Deleting Vault Objects
The following rules govern the deletion of hosts, vaults, folders, and mount associations:
A site with hosts, vaults, or both cannot be deleted.
A vault with folders cannot be deleted.
A master vault on master site that is the Default system target cannot be deleted unless it is the last vault on the site or if the only other vault in the site is a replica vault that is a Default target for site.
A replica or cache vault that is designated as the Default target for site cannot be deleted unless it is the last vault in the site or if the only other vault in the site is a master vault that has been designated the Default system target.
When a host with mounts is deleted, all of its mount associations are also removed. Consequently, folders with mount associations to this host are no longer mounted.
When a folder is deleted, its mount connections are deleted.
A folder that contains content files cannot be deleted. If another operation, such as the deletion of another vault object, attempts to delete a folder with content files, that operation is rolled back.
