Sequences Information Page
Sequences are used to group together operations that are executed sequentially when documenting instructions in process plans on how to produce, test, maintain or repair parts or assemblies. Sequences can be used to document operations that can take place at the same time as other operations, or operations that can take place instead of other operations.
The sequences information page is a collection point for information related to the sequences. The information page of a sequence is accessed by clicking the information icon .
The following types of sequences are available.
Alternate
A sequence that can be used as an alternative to a set of operations in another sequence.
Parallel
A sequence of operations that occurs in parallel with other sequences.
*
The process plan displayed at the top of the navigation pane is the main sequence.
From the information page, you can perform actions on a sequence, as well as view the object attributes and any related information.
For an overview of information page functionality, see About Information Pages and Customizing Information Page Tabs.
Actions
Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in a menu in the upper left corner of the page. See Common Actions for a list of common actions available in Windchill. The availability of these actions depends on the status of the manufacturing capability, as well as your access to it. For more information about status indicators, see Object Status .
The following actions are of particular interest for this object.
Action
Description
Open in > Creo View
Opens the object in a Creo View window.
Open in > Process Plan Workbench
Launches the Structure tab in a separate browser window dedicated to editing process plans and operations.
Display Related Manufacturing Objects
Opens the Display Related Manufacturing Objects report, providing access to the Object List table. The Object List table allows you to view, collect, and associate additional related objects to the given object.
Tabs
The following tabs are viewable on the sequence information page. You can customize the tabs that appear on each object information page to display the information most useful to you. For more information, see Customizing Information Page Tabs.
*
Administrators have the ability to modify the tabs that are viewable to you.
Tab
Description
Details
The Details tab displays the attributes of an object.
See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill. Also, see About Visualization.
The following attributes can be of particular interest for this object.
General
System
Structure
The Structure tab allows you to view a logical representation for an object.
The Structure tab also allows you to perform many different manufacturing process management functions, depending on the manufacturing object that has been selected. For example, plant and process plan management, BOM associativity management, and resource balancing.
For more information see Using the Sequence Structure Tab.
Related
The Related tab allows you to view related standard procedure associations. From this tab you can view the following related tables:

References Documents
Changes
The Changes tab displays information about change objects and tasks. From this tab you can view the Associated Changes table.
See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill.
History
The History tab allows you to view the entire process of the object through its workflow states. From this tab you can view the following tables:
Timeline
Displays a graphical timeline of the part through the workflow states.
Save As History
See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill.
Where Used
The Where Used tab allows you to determine in which process plan or standard process structure the selected sequence is being used.
Traceability
Opens the Requirements Multilevel Traceability tables of requirements management indirectly linked objects. The visibility of Traceability tab is controlled by the preference Show Traceability Tab. When set to No, the default, this tab is hidden.
