Managed Collection Actions in BOM Transformer
You can use the actions available in BOM Transformer to perform the following tasks. All the actions mentioned in the table are available in upstream and downstream views.
Action
Description
New/Add > Add to Managed Collection
Add or manage objects in the Add to Managed Collection dialog box. You can also copy parts from a part structure in BOM Transformer to the Add to Managed Collection dialog box.
Add to Managed Collection > New Managed Collection
Create a new managed collection. For information about how to add a managed collection, see Add to Managed Collection.
Editing > Edit Managed Collection
• Modify the content of a managed collection. This action is enabled only if the managed collection is open in BOM Transformer.
• When a managed collection for a stream is edited in BOM Transformer, the changes are immediately synced to the other side. You can edit a collection only from the side in which the part that is specified in the Parent Context field in Quick Filter is present. An error is displayed when the action is initiated from the other side.
