Made From
The Made From tab displays Made From, Makes, and Co-produce tables for the part selected in the structure.
Made From Table
The Made From table displays the raw-material or semi-finished parts associated with the selected part. You can view the attributes of the raw-material or semi-finished parts in the table, such as name, number, version, and so on. You can also edit the attributes, such as line number, quantity, unit, and others.
Use the
action to remove the raw-material or semi-finished parts from the table. This action removes the association between the raw-material or semi-finished part and the selected part. When you remove a raw-material or semi-finished part, its parent part is not iterated.
Makes Table
The Makes table displays a hierarchy of parts that make up a finished part. The hierarchy begins from the selected raw-material or semi-finished part and ends at the first finished part.
You can export the displayed parts into a .XLSX file format using the Export List to File action from the Actions menu.
Co-produce Table
The Co-produce table displays the primary and secondary parts that are included in the co-produce object associated with the selected primary part. The table displays this information only if a co-produce object exists for the selected primary part.
A primary part is indicated using the
icon.
• Use the
action to add a secondary part in the table. This action launches the
Find Object dialog box in which you can search for the required part by specifying the appropriate search criteria. You cannot add a part or a different revision of the part that already exists in the table.
• Use the
action to remove a part from the table. You cannot remove a primary part. Additionally, you cannot remove a part if the table contains only two parts because a co-produce object requires at least one primary part and one secondary part. If you try to remove a required part, a message notifies you that the action cannot be completed.
• Use the
action to delete the co-produce object associated with the selected primary part. Only Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manager roles can delete a co-produce object.
| Users might delete parts that are included in a co-produce object from different areas within Windchill. The co-produce object gets automatically deleted if the user deletes the primary part version, or if the total count of parts in the object falls below two. |
