Auditing User Login Denial
The security audit records the login denial when a user is denied login to Windchill due to insufficient ADU licenses or lack of license entitlement. The events that record login denial information are Login Denied – Insufficient ADU License and Login Denied – License Unassigned .
These events are available in Security Audit Reporting utility. Administrators can preview or generate the audit report to gather information on user login denial.
The following information are included in the report:
Event Label — Login Denied – Insufficient ADU License or Login Denied – License Unassigned
Event Key — An identifier for the event. In this case, the event keys are:
Login Denied – Insufficient ADU License
wt.session.SessionUserAuditEvent/LoginDenied_InsufficientADULicense
Login Denied – License Unassigned
wt.session.SessionUserAuditEvent/LoginDenied_LicenseNotAssigned
Event Time — The date and time when the event occurred.
User Name — Specifies the user name for whom the login is denied.
User ID — Specifies the unique id of the user.
IP Address — The IP address of the host from where the user tried login.
