Subscribing to a Deliverable, Action Item, or Plan Object

You can subscribe to deliverables, action items, milestones, activities, summary activities, and subplans.

If you are a plan object owner, you can add and remove subscriptions to the plan object while editing it.

Use the following procedure to receive email notification of specified events:

1. Select Subscribe from the right-click actions menu of an object.

If you are subscribing to an action item, the action item is subscribed to as soon as you select Subscribe. There are no further steps to be taken. You receive an email notification when the action item is resolved, edited, deleted, or obsolete.

2. Select the events to which you want to subscribe:

Event	Description
Deadline Change	Sets up notification for a change in deadline.
Delete	Sets up notification for the deletion of an object.
Finish Change	Sets up notification for a change in the estimated finish date.
Missed Deadline	Sets up notification for a neglected deadline.
Owner Change	Sets up notification for a change in the owner.
Percent Change	Sets up notification for a change in the percentage of completion.
Risk Change	Sets up notification for a change in the risk attribute.
Status Change	Sets up notification for a change in status.

A change in Finish Change, Percent Change or Status Change event of a child activity in a summary activity is rolled up to the summary activity.

3. Click OK to create the subscription.

You can later unsubscribe or delete and cancel the subscription. Deleting a subscription cancels it for all subscribed users and removes it from the Windchill database.
