Traces Tab
The Traces tab displays the trace links between external artifacts, such as requirements and Windchill traceable objects, such as parts, options and choices For more information about trace link concepts, see Working with Traces.
The trace link attributes are shown in the default table view in the Traced To table on the Traces tab. You can customize the New Tab to display the Traced To table.
Following columns are in the table:
Column Name
Description
Number
Unique identifier for the traced item
Trace
Trace type, such as Allocate or Satisfy
Server
Server where the traced item resides
Title
Summary of the traced item
Last Modified — External
Date of the modification to the external resource
Remote Data Status
Loading status of the external resource
Object Type Indicator
Resource type of the external resource
You can perform the following actions in the Traced to table:
Icon
Action
green plus sign icon
Adds new trace links
red minus sign icon
Removes the trace link relationship that is selected
red diamond icon
Marks the selected trace link as suspect.
red diamond icon with line across it
Clears the suspect flag for a trace, indicating that you have evaluated the change
Following status icons appear in the Remote Data Status column of the Traced To table:
