Accept | Takes responsibility to do the task. |
Assign Resources | Opens the Assign Resources window, allowing you to search for existing resources or create a new resource to associate to the object. |
Delete Deliverable | Removes the deliverable from the Windchill database. |
Discussions | Displays the Discussions table, allowing you to work with existing discussions and to create new discussions |
Edit Deadline | Opens the Edit Due Date window, allowing you to change the deadline. |
Insert Activity Below | Opens the New Activity window, allowing you to define a new activity. The new activity displays below the selected object. |
Open Task Assistant | Launches the Task Assistant, allowing you to insert comments and complete the task. |
New Deliverable | Creates a new deliverable. For more information, see the help available from the New Deliverable window. |
Notebook | Displays the Notebook table, allowing you to work with existing notebooks and to create new notebooks. |
Reassign | Assigns the task to another user. |
Track Work | Opens the Track Work window, allowing you to enter the percentage or hours of work completed for the selected task. |
Administrators may have modified the tabs that are viewable to you. |
Tab | Description |
Details | The Details tab displays the attributes of the task. Use the Comments and other editable fields to complete your task. Click the Save button to save your changes or the Complete Task button to save your changes and submit your input. See Object Attributes for a list of common attributes available in Windchill. The following attributes may be of particular interest for tasks. • Subject—The identifier of the task includes the icon, object type, and the name of the object, including a link to the object. • Instructions—The description of what is required to satisfy the task. • Process—The name of the workflow process, including a link to the process in the Workflow Process Manager. • Process Initiator—The name of the person who started the process. Clicking the name of the process initiator launches a new email in your email client, such as Microsoft Outlook, addressed to that user. • Process Initiated On—The date the workflow process was started for this task. • Assignee—The user that is supposed to complete the task. Clicking the name of the assignee launches a new email in your email client, such as Microsoft Outlook, addressed to that user. • Role—Predefined role of the assignee • Priority—Relative importance assigned to this process, entered when the workflow process started. • Deadline—Date by which the task is to be completed. • Status—Status of the task. |

Set Up Participants | The Set Up Participants tab includes the Set Up Participants table. |
Ad Hoc Activities | The Ad Hoc Activities tab includes the Ad Hoc Activities table and is available when the activity type is ad hoc activity. |
Template View | The Template View tab appears if your administrator has set the > preference. The tab includes the same tables as the Related tab, but also includes fields for completing your task. |
