Partial Import of Translation Packages
When importing a translation package, by default all the content in the translation package is imported and the previous content is overwritten. You can configure Windchill Service Information Manager Translation Management to only import content from a translation package that is not already translated. For example, if a package contains 10 dynamic documents of which 9 have already been translated; disable the update already translated content feature to import the content of the remaining single document that has not been imported previously. Content is determined to be already translated based on whether its lifecycle state matches the Translated preference value configured in its container. The previously imported translation content is retained and the translation baseline will be set to the Translated state only when all the content in the translation baseline has been imported. You can continue using partial import until all of the content has been imported.
The xconf property com.ptc.tml.updateAlreadyTranslatedContent in wt.properties determines whether the translated content in a translation package should be updated during the import process. By default, the property is set to false, the already translated content will be skipped during the import process. If set to true, the full translation package is imported, including the content which is already translated.
