Translation Package Preparation
The process for preparing and packaging documents for translation includes checking that previous procedures have been performed correctly. The following is a review of preparing for creating a translation package:
1. Be sure that each dynamic document has the Translate Attribute (PTC_DD_TRANSLATE) set to Yes and the Document Language Attribute (PTC_DD_LANGUAGE) attribute set, including child documents if they exist.
*
Any child documents of a compound document that have the Translate Attribute set to No or are already out for translation (in the In Translation State) are not included in the translation package.
2. Be sure that each source dynamic document has the state set to the value of the Preparation State preference, including child documents if they exist.
*
All the child documents of a compound document must be in the Preparation State to include the entire compound document in the translation package. If any child documents have the Translate Attribute set to Yes but are not in the Preparation State, then the entire compound dynamic document are excluded.
You can specifically exclude a document from a translation package by setting the Translate Attribute to No.
