Changes to the Items Tab
The Items tab is extended to allow you to manage S1000D specific information for an individual part.
To display the Items tab, open the parts list in Parts List Editor, and then click the Items tab in the right-hand pane.
Changing the Table View
The layout of the S1000D enhanced table view can be changed by selecting the appropriate view from the Search icon pull down menu.
You can select:
• AAD Parts Data. Displays the most frequently used information about the part.
• Supplementary AAD Data. Displays extra information about the part. You can use the scroll bar to view all the columns.
AAD Parts Data table shows the standard S1000D part data.
Object
Description
Item Number
The item number of the part (required)
When working with S1000D IPD data modules the first parts list item is numbered 0. Item Number is restricted to 3 numeric characters.
Item Variant
The item variant identification for the part
Permitted values:
• null
• alpha characters A-Z, excluding I and O
This value is appended to the Item Number value in Supplementary AAD Data view, for example 1A.
Item Sequence Number
The item sequence number of the part (required)
ISN Variant
The variant of the item sequence number for the part (required)
A single uppercase character A-Z, excluding I and O
This value is appended to the Item Sequence Number value in Supplementary AAD Data view, for example 1A.
Indenture
The indenture level
Part Number
The part number
Manufacturer
The manufacturer code of the part
Name
The name of the part
Quantity
The quantity used in the assembly
Illustrated
Yes if the part has a corresponding illustration/figure
Remarks
Any remarks
Supplementary AAD Data table shows the supplementary S1000D part data, and which S1000D elements and attributes populate the data.
