Include Secondary Content Attachment with an Illustration
There are two methods of introducing ICN illustrations with primary and secondary content to a product:
• Associate an ICN’s secondary content file as an attachment when creating the ICN from a local file
|
If you create an illustration from a Creo Illustrate or Arbortext IsoDraw template, a blank secondary content file will be included as an attachment to the ICN automatically. You can then edit the illustration to add the required secondary content file, using Windchill Workgroup Manager and the corresponding authoring application.
|
• Import multiple versions of the same ICN with different file extensions
If an import package contains multiple ICNs of the same name but different file extensions, the ICNs are all imported into the product and linked as primary and secondary content.
These guidelines apply:
◦ If the ICN does not already exist in the target product
The first file encountered in the import package is imported as the primary content, and any other files of the same name but a different extension are added as secondary content attachments
◦ If the ICN already exists in the target product
New files of the same name but a different extension in the current import package are added to the existing file as secondary content attachments
The Import Validation report (see > for the product) provides information about which ICNs have been imported, and which files have been linked as secondary content attachments.
Primary content of an ICN is listed on the Primary Content table of the Content tab in the ICN’s information page. Secondary content attachments are listed in the Attachments table (General category) for an ICN. You may need to customize your view of the information page to expose this table.

Customizing Table Views.

The preference is located in the > category in the Preference Management utility.
Corresponding graphic references will be included in content:
