Filtering the Information Element List
The Information Element List tab displays all the data modules and ICNs that exist at, and below, the currently selected node in the information structure. You can filter the list to display only those element types in which you are interested. For example, you could display only data modules.
A number of pre-defined views are delivered with the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.
Pre-defined Views
To select a pre-defined view:
1. Click Table views (Table views).
2. Select the required view from the drop-down menu.
S1000D - All
S1000D - Data modules
S1000D - Entities
S1000D - Publication modules
The selected view is displayed in the Information Element List.
User-defined Views
To create a view:
1. Click Table views (Table views).
2. Select Manage Table Views.
For more information, see Customizing Table Views.
You can also create a filter for the information structure, which can refine the objects displayed in the Information Element List tab based on certain navigation criteria. For example you could create a filter to limit the list to data modules with a particular In Work status, or to objects that conform to specified applicability values.
For more information about creating filters, see About Part Structure Filters.
