Troubleshoot Performance on Linux Servers
On a Linux-based Windchill installation, some operations between Arbortext Editor and Windchill can fail to respond in a timely manner.
To overcome this potential problem, two parameters protect the operating system from large, unexpected, operations on the Linux server. These parameters are:
Linux Parameter
Description
maxproc
Protects the operating system from running a large number of processes in the same thread
descriptors
Protects the operating system from opening a large number of files in the same thread.
Set these parameters to a suitable value for your environment to allow operations between Arbortext Editor and Windchill to respond.
For more information, see the Windchill Performance Tuning Guide.
