Deadline Tab
On the Deadline tab, you can set a due date for the process or activity. Setting a deadline is optional.
Set deadline to
You can set the deadline either in relation to the start of the activity or process, or to the start of the parent workflow process.

If you set a deadline for both, the earliest deadline applies.
Overdue Consequences
Skip—Skip the activity and proceed to the next node. This option should only be use for a process if the process is a proxy process.
Mark complete—Complete the activity and proceed to the next node, or complete the process.
Reassign to the responsible role—Reassign the task to the Responsible Role specified on the General tab.
Overdue Notifications
Notify the selected roles—Select one or more roles to notify in addition to the responsible role (the role specified on the General tab).
Notify the responsible role—You can use these options to specify when the notification should be sent. If you do not specify a date in relation to the deadline, then the notification is sent when the deadline is reached.

If you do not select any options under Overdue Notifications, a notification is still sent to the responsible role user when the deadline is reached.
