Set Up File Servers
Perform the following steps to set up your file servers:
1. Install the file server sites so they are all at the same release level with the master site.
The locations of the file server folders must not be changed during the upgrade. The files that are stored there are user-uploaded content referenced from the master site. These files were accessible to Windchill before the upgrade and must be accessible after the upgrade. When file server starts, it will ask the master site for the local storage locations. The master site will provide the locations, which will still be correct, unless the folders were moved during the upgrade.
2. Start up the sites and make sure that the master site is able to broadcast configurations to the file server sites. For detailed broadcast instructions, see the Windchill Installation and Configuration Guide.
