Creating a Windchill CAPA Effectiveness Approval Package
If the Effectiveness Approval Required field is set to Yes for an action, the CAPA action verifier must create an effectiveness approval package and select users to be the CAPA action effectiveness approvers.
To create an effectiveness approval package, do the following:
1. Click the Create CAPA Effectiveness Approval Package task.
2. Review the CAPA request by clicking View CAPA Structure.
3. Click the Set Up Participants tab.
4. In the Set Up Participants table, select the approvers.
5. Click the Details tab.
6. Optionally, in the Comments field, enter your comments.
7. Click Complete Task.
To approve the effectiveness of the action plan, do the following:
1. Click the CAPA Effectiveness Approval task.
2. Review the action plan by clicking View CAPA Structure.
3. Under Routing Options, select Approve.

If you select Do Not Approve, the task remains in the Effectiveness state. The effectiveness and approval package must be approved before the task can move to the next state.
4. In the Password field, type your password.
5. Optionally, in the Comments field, enter your comments.
6. Click Complete Task.
