Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software provides an integrated environment to manage artifacts of a software document and a software configuration data document in a central repository for SCM systems such as Integrity, IBM Rational ClearCase, and Subversion. These artifacts could be source code or related files. Typically, for building a software deliverable, a software developer and a software manager share the following responsibilities:

• The developer creates, uploads, and updates a software document or a software configuration data document.

• The manager views and captures the state of a software document or a software configuration data document during the various stages of product development.

Depending on your role and requirements, you can choose from the following operations in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software:

• Create and edit a software document or software configuration data document and attach primary source and attachment content.

• View and capture the state of a software document or a software configuration data document at various phases of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Associate a software build with a software document or software configuration data document.

• Manage software files using primary source and attachment content to a software document or software configuration data document.

Migrated software documents from Windchill 9.x become updated software documents with all the originating software document content in Windchill 10.2.
