Creating and Editing a Delivery
Prior to sending a package to a recipient, you must create a delivery. Each package delivery can be sent to a specific recipient identified when the delivery is created. A locked package version can be delivered to any number of recipients, and it can be delivered multiple times.
When creating a ZIP file for a recipient of a package, technical data package, CDRL package, or SDRL package, different access control options are available for Windchill user recipients and non-Windchill user recipients. If your site has security labels enabled and the recipient is not a Windchill user, a set of security label values can be defined as a filter used when creating a ZIP file. If the delivery recipient is a Windchill user, the ZIP file can be filtered by the permissions of that user.

Once you have created a delivery using the steps below, you can use the same steps to edit the delivery by selecting the Edit from the delivery information page or clicking the edit delivery icon on the Deliveries table. The Edit Delivery window will appear, containing all the same fields available for creating a new delivery. Once you have sent the delivery, however, the Edit action will no longer be available.
For more information, see Best Practices for Creating a Package Delivery.
The new delivery action is available from the Deliveries tab on a package information page and from the row level actions menu on the Packages table. To deliver a package:
*
If your site has security labels enabled, you may see the Set Security Labels step. By default, a delivery has the same security label values initially displayed as the package for which it was created. If your site has an object initialization rule with attribute constraints that sets the default security label value of a delivery, the value will be displayed as specified by the object initialization rule rather than the value set on the package for which the delivery was created. For more information, see Setting Security Labels while Creating an Object and Define Object Initialization Rules for Security Labels.
