Windchill Clipboard
The Windchill clipboard allows you to cut, copy, and paste objects in the Windchill system. The clipboard can contain objects, such as parts and documents, and URLs.
Once added, clipboard objects remain until they are pasted directly, pasted with a separate action (such as Add to Project), or manually cleared. Copying or cutting new objects does not remove previous clipboard objects. The most recent objects determine the paste action.
To view and manage clipboard items, select Quick Links > Clipboard. For more information, see Clipboard Window.
*
By default, the clipboard has a limit of 250 objects. This limit is set using the wt.clipboard.limit property in the wt.properties file. An administrator can increase this limit. However, setting the limit to over 1000 might have an impact on system performance.
Clipboard actions are found in multiple menus and tables throughout Windchill, including the Folder Contents table:

The availability and behavior of clipboard actions depends on the location of the objects.
