Affected Objects Table for Variances
The Affected Objects table displays the objects that are affected by the variance.
Changing the Table View
You can limit the objects displayed in the Affected Objects table by selecting a view from the drop-down list immediately to the right of the table title. Views such as Parts, Documents, CAD Documents, or Dynamic Documents may appear, allowing you to constrain your view to only those objects.
From the Affected Objects table toolbar, you may have the following actions:
Places a copy of the selected object temporarily on the clipboard where it is available to be saved in a new location using the paste icon.
Adds objects that had been previously added to the clipboard.
Paste selection
Opens a window from which you can select objects from the clipboard that you want added to the table.
Removes the object from the table.
Opens a window from which you can search for objects to add to the table.
Opens a window that allows you to collect related objects.
These actions are also available from the toolbar actions menu. In addition, the Add from Structural Annotations and Set Effectivity actions may be available from the toolbar actions menu. This action Add from Structural Annotations allows you to add revised parts to the Affected Objects table. The Set Effectivity action allows you to provide descriptive information on a date, lot, or serial number.
The ability to set effectivity on an affected object of a variance is controlled by a preference (Variance Effectivity). The default is No.
The row-level Edit Annotations action allows you to add annotations to an object.
The Affected Objects table makes use of autosuggest for adding objects to the table. For more information, see Quick Entry Using Autosuggest.
