Undoing a Replacement for a Part Instance
The
Replace action is used to replace a child part in an existing parent assembly part instance with an alternate or substitute. To learn how to use the

The Undo Replace action is used to reverse the replacement of a part within an assembly part instance. The Undo Replace action is allowed when:
• The user has Modify permissions for the parent part instance revision.
• Neither the replacement part instance or the parent part instance have been incorporated.
Follow these steps to undo the replacement of a traceable part within a parent part instance:
1. Select the replacement part in the Structure tab of the part instance information page.
2. Select Undo Replace action from the right mouse button menu.
3. Click Yes in the Undo Replace Part confirmation dialog.
The original replaced part is displayed in the part instance structure.
