Setting Document Configuration Specifications
Access the
Edit Workspace Options for workspace page by selecting
Edit Preferences from the workspace actions menu or by clicking the edit preferences icon
for the workspace in the
My Workspaces table. Then select the
Dynamic Document Configuration Specification tab (
Arbortext Content Manager only) or the
Document Configuration Specification tab (
Windchill PDMLink,
Windchill ProjectLink, or
Pro/INTRALINK only).

Use the Document Configuration Specification tab to set the following types of configuration specifications for CAD or dynamic document objects in your workspace:
• Standard
• Baseline
• Baseline for Item
| In Windchill, the effectivity configuration specification is not applicable to CAD document objects. |
1. Set one of the following configurations:
To set: | Do this: |
Standard | a. Select Standard for the system to retrieve the latest iteration on the latest version for the specified state. b. In the State field, select an available life cycle state. You can leave the field blank to get the latest iteration on the latest version for any life cycle state. |
Baseline | a. Select Baseline. b. In the Number field, enter a managed baseline number or Browse for an object number in Windchill by clicking Browse. | Clicking Browse brings up a Find Object window from which you can search for objects. |

Baseline for Item | a. Select Baseline for Item. b. In the Item Number field, enter either a CAD document number or a part number, or Browse for an object number in Windchill by clicking Browse. | Clicking Browse brings up a Find Object window from which you can search for objects. |
c. In the Number field, select a baseline number from the menu. The values are populated in this field only after you have entered a valid object number. |
2. (Windchill PDMLink or Windchill ProjectLink only) Select Identical for Parts to assign the CAD document configuration values to the part configuration specification.
3. Click OK to save your settings and return to your active workspace.

Click Cancel to leave the page without saving your changes.
