Permissions Required for Editing Common Attributes for a Part
The following example illustrates the permissions required to complete the Edit Common Attributes action on a part. The permissions can be granted by either policy or ad hoc access control rules.
In addition to the Read permission required to see the part, one of the following permissions is required for the Edit Common Attributes action to be available:
Modify permission is required on the latest iteration for all revisions of the part to modify most attributes.
Modify Identity permission is required on the latest iteration for all revisions of the part to modify attributes that are part of the identity of the object, such as the number or organization identifier.
