Selecting Objects in an Explorer
The Select in Explorer window allows you to select (highlight) the selected object(s) in an open . Depending on the object selected, different explorer options are displayed.

Objects are selected in explorers in accordance with the existing filter criteria and option rules (if applicable). Depending on your licensing rights, some options are not available.

Open the
Select in Explorer window by selecting one or more objects and then choosing > in the , or by clicking the select in explorer icon
elsewhere in
Windchill Service Parts.
The window has the following options.
• Select Option
◦ Structure — Highlights the selected object in a specific or each open or Creo View Explorer.
◦ Upstream Equivalent Part — Highlights the selected part's upstream equivalent part in a specific or each open or Creo View Explorer.
◦ Downstream Equivalent Part — Highlights the selected part's downstream equivalent part in a specific or each open or Creo View Explorer.
• Explorer list — Lists explorers available for highlighting the selected object. Available explorers vary based on the selected Open Option.
• Add to Current Selection — When checked, highlights the selected object(s) without first deselecting any previously highlighted objects.
• OK — Highlights the object(s) using the specified options.
• Cancel — Closes the Select in Explorer window without opening the selected object(s).
