Raise Issue of a Data Module
To raise an issue of a data module:
1. Select the appropriate data module in the Information Element List.
2. Select the Management > Raise Issue option from the context menu.
The Raise Data Module Issue window is displayed.

3. Select the type of issue you are creating from the New Issue Type drop down menu.
The list of issue types available for selection depends on the current issue type of the data module.
4. Add notes in the Reason for update field.
5. Click OK. A confirmation message is displayed.
The data module is raised in issue and moved to the workflow state of Work in Progress, with the specified issue type displayed.

The Issue Type attribute is visible in the S1000D - All and S1000D - Data modules views of the Information Element List.
The next issue of the data module is assigned to any existing Author and Reviewer assigned to the previous issue.
There are eight permitted value for the Issue Type attribute:
Issue Type
Information
New
Newly created data modules are automatically assigned an issue type of New.
The issue number will be 000 for In Work data modules, and 001 for the first issue of the data module.
Changed
Indicates that changes have been made since the previous issue
Changes will be marked in the data module with change markers.
Deleted
Indicates that the data module is no longer used
The data module itself is not deleted when this issue type is selected.
Revised
Indicates that changes have been made since the previous issue
Changes will not be marked in the data module.
Status
Indicates that changes have been made to the data module, but only to the ID and Status section. The main content remains the same.
Rinstate-status
Indicates that the data module has been reinstated for use
Changes have been made to the data module, but only to the ID and Status section. The main content remains the same.
Rinstate-changed
Indicates that the data module has been reinstated for use
Changes since the previous issue will be marked in the data module with change markers.
Rinstate-revised
Indicates that the data module has been reinstated for use
Changes since the previous issue will not be marked in the data module.
The issue type available for selection depends on the current issue type of the data module:

Be aware of the following:
Data modules set to issue type Deleted will revert to the workflow state Issued.
Data modules set to issue type of Changed or Rinstate-changed have the RFU attribute updateHighlights set to 1, to indicate inclusion in the Highlights.
