Connect to the Windchill Server

Additional Windchill Capabilities > Service Information Management > About > Additions to Arbortext Editor > Connect to the Windchill Server

Arbortext Editor can be integrated into the Windchill Service Information Manager environment. It can then access the functions through the dynamic S1000D menu.

Connection must first be established with the .

1. Select Object > Connect.

The Connect dialog box is displayed.

2. Enter the appropriate connection details.

Contact your Windchill administrator to obtain the connection details.

Connection details are stored in the site preferences file (siteprefs.xml) of your Arbortext Editor installation. For example:

C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor 6\adapters\com.ptc.prowt.arbortext\siteprefs.xml

The server location was added during installation of the client application.

3. Click Next.

4. Enter the appropriate context and workspace.

5. Click Finish.
