Information Element List
The Information Element List tab provides a data module requirement list as required by the specification.
The Information Element List tab displays all the data modules and ICNs for the currently selected information structure node.

If you are working with an S1000D 4.2 product, you may have to customize the view of the table to display the ICN Metadata Files (IMF) in your structure. For more information, see Customizing Table Views.
The list can be sorted by clicking the appropriate column header.

The name Information Element List is used as the default, but this can be changed using the Information Element List Title Service Information Manager preference.
This document refers to the default, Information Element List.
Toolbar buttons are available on the Information Element List tab.
Object
Description
Edit AttributesEdit Attributes
Displays the Edit Document Dialog Box. You can edit attributes of the selected element.
Show ReportsShow Reports
Validation reports are generated whenever you create a data module, or move it from WIP to Verification Required. Validation reports are only generated if they contain errors.
This menu item displays the validation report for the selected data module.
If the data module does not have a validation report, this menu item is disabled.
RefreshRefresh
Refreshes the Information Element List tab.
Open Content In Arbortext EditorOpen Content In Arbortext Editor
Opens the selected object in Arbortext Editor.
Open Content In IsoDrawOpen Content In IsoDraw
Opens the selected object in Arbortext IsoDraw.
A context menu is available when you select a data module or ICN in the list.

If more than one item is selected then the available menu options are restricted to those that apply to all the selected items.
Object
Description
View Information
Displays the information page for the selected information element.
Assign to Workflow
Integrates the selected imported objects (data modules and entities at the Imported workflow state) into the system workflow. The objects’ workflow state is changed to Issued.

Show Reports
Validation reports are generated whenever you create a data module, or move it from WIP to Verification Required. Validation reports are only generated if they contain errors.

Open Content in Arbortext Editor
Opens the selected object in Arbortext Editor.

If a graphic asset is selected, this menu item is Open Content in IsoDraw.
Management
The Management menu gives access to workflow management functions:
Release for Authoring. moves the data element from Pending to WIP.
The data module is then visible in the Arbortext EditorTasks dialog box.
Raise Issue. For more information, see Raise Issue.
Allocate Author. For more information, see Set Up Participants Page.
Allocate Reviewer. For more information, see Set Up Participants Page.
Author
The Author menu gives access to functions:
Edit Attributes. Displays the Edit Document Dialog Box. You can edit attributes of the selected element.
Release for Verification. For more information, see Release For Verification Page.
Review
The Reviewer menu gives access to functions:
Set for Rework. For more information, see Set For Rework Page.
Issue. For more information, see Verification Page.
Unverify. For more information, see Unverify.
First Verification
Sets the verification method for the data module.

Second Verification
Optional. Sets the verification method for the data module.
