• The WFS approach gives the user increased ease of use in working with Windchill file organization and manipulation, providing interaction much like that of using a conventional file system, and a more robust integration that works in concert with the CAD system. WFS displays a set of folders on the file system which mirrors the Windchill Commonspace and Workspace folder structure seen through the web browser. This approach enables native AutoCAD to access files directly from the Windchill Commonspace.

• The implementation of the Windchill File System (WFS) for Windchill Workgroup Manager for AutoCAD results in an important change for customers. The concept of working in a Workspace Local Directory (WLD) no longer applies to Windchill Workgroup Manager for AutoCAD; it is replaced by the folder structure of the Windchill File System (WFS).
