• Configure Windchill file vaults using the Windchill command line utility to use Azure Blob storage for your managed file data when Windchill is deployed in Microsoft Azure virtual machine.
• Customize Windchill to encrypt the content you are saving in Azure blob, by writing delegate implementations.
• Migrate your vault data to Azure blob during a general migration to a Microsoft Azure virtual machine.
• Use Microsoft Data Box service to transfer large amounts of data to Microsoft Azure blob containers using a Azure Data Box device.

To take advantage of Azure Blob vaulting capabilities, PTC requires that you install the Windchill main server and file servers on Azure virtual machines. Connection to Azure Blob storage with Windchill running on premises is not supported.
