Reusing a Standard Operation
You can reuse a standard operation instead of creating the same standard operation with the same attributes multiple times. After you reuse a standard operation, its attributes such as name, number, associativity are carried forward. However, its allocation is not carried forward. The reason being, once a part is consumed or used in a process plan, it cannot be reused in another process plan.
To reuse a standard operation:
1. Right click on a standard operation and click Copy.
2. Right click on the process plan, operation or standard operation and select
◦ > to create a child standard operation under the process plan, operation or standard operation.
◦ > to create a parent standard operation after the process plan, operation or standard operation.
