About the Gantt Chart Panel

The Gantt Chart Panel is the top panel in the Manufacturing Gantt Explorer and is where process plans and operations can be viewed in a Gantt chart. The Gantt Chart Panel can be used to manage time constraints for operations in process plans.

The Manufacturing Gantt Explorer consists of a dual-pane panel. The left pane is the navigation pane and displays the process plan, operations, and steps that make up an operation.

Attribute	Description
Name	The name of the process plan, operation or step.
Number	The number of the process, plan, operation or step.
Version	The version of the process, plan, operation or step.
Resources	The resources that have been assigned to the process, plan, operation or step.
Operation Number	The number of the operation.
Duration	The amount of time each operation and step is expected to take. Duration times are cumulative; the time calculated for an operation is the sum total of every step in the operation, the time calculated for each process plan is the sum total of every operation.
Quantity	The lot quantity used to calculate operation and process plan duration times.
Parts	Displays all parts related to a process plan, and all parts allocated to an operation.
	Indicates a change is related to the object. Clicking the icon opens pending change window.

The right pane displays information about the object selected in the navigation pane, within a Gantt Activity Chart. The activity chart displays a range of dates during which the process plans, operations, and steps are expected to be performed. Task bars are used to illustrate the beginning and end dates for each process plan, operation, and step.

• The Process Plan task bar spans the entire date range in which the process plan is expected to be used. Parts that are related to the process plan are listed to the right of the task bar.

• The Operation task bar is a sub-task bar of the process plan task bar, and spans the entire date range in which each operation is expected to be used. Work centers and compatibilities that have been allocated to the operation are displayed to the right of each operation.

• The Step task bar is a sub-task bar of the operation task bar, and spans the entire date and time range in which each step is expected to be performed. Process resources that have been assigned to the step are displayed to the right of each step.

You can perform tasks on elements selected in the activity chart by selecting a task bar. Using drag and drop, you can move an entire process plan to a new date, or change the expected duration of a process plan, operation, or step.

Use the black arrows

appear between the panes to display one pane in the entire window. You can also drag the divider by selecting and holding the left mouse button in the region below the arrows.
