Allocating a Processing Resource to an Operation

To allocate a processing resource to an operation, use the following procedure:

1. From the navigation pane select the Operation for which the resource needs to be assigned.

2. Click the Resource Allocations tab. The system displays the Processing Resource table.

3. Click the add icon

. The Add window opens.

4. Use the search window to filter your search query.

5. Click Search. The results of the search are returned at the bottom of the window.

6. Select the desired resource and click OK.

If compatibles have been defined for the processing resource, they are applied to the operation.

To ensure that processing resources are available in the plants to which the operations have been assigned activate the Validate processing resource allocations to operation preference in the Preference Management utility.
