About the PTC Service Information Manager S1000D License and PTC Service Parts S1000D License Profiles
The Windchill License Profiles for S1000D control Windchill Service Information Manager and Windchill Service Parts actions carried out in an S1000D product or library context.
These are modular licenses, which require a base PTC PDMLink Module License.

S1000D Information Structures— controls the availability of information structure navigation:
• Information Structure navigator entry in an S1000D product or library
• Information Structures table on the Details page of an S1000D product or library
• Structure tab of an S1000D information structure or group
• Open in Information Structure Editor action, in these locations:
◦ Folders browser
◦ In a structure
◦ Templates table for an information structure

Each profile has a license group of the same name. The system administrator can manage a list of users in each group via the Participant Administration utility, for users to have access to actions for S1000D.
For more information, see Working with Participants.
The actions defined by each profile can be enabled for certain roles configured for a product or library. For example, disabling an action for a role means the action is hidden for a user that is logged in with that role. Your Product and Library Manager can use the Configure Actions for Roles table for a product or library. For more information, see User Roles.
The usage of each license can be tracked using Windchill’s standard license auditing feature. For more information. see S1000D License Usage Tracking.
