Insert Common Information Repository Reference Dialog Box

The Insert Common Information Repository reference dialog box allows you to search for Common Information Repository (CIR) or Technical Information Repository (TIR) items on the system, and insert references to those items into a data module.

Object	Description
Product	Displays the current product context.
Type	Displays the type of CIR reference being inserted: • Common Information Repository Reference Type — Issue 4.1 • Technical Information Repository Reference Type — Issue 4.0.1 • Reference Mechanism — Issues 4.1 and 4.0.1
Filters	You can filter the CIR item search to return items that match specific criteria. • Data Module Code (select from the drop down list) • Enter a display name or a description for the required CIR item Click Search to search for CIR items matching these criteria. Clear resets all criteria fields.
Search results list	Displays the CIR items that match your search criteria. Choose the row that contains the required CIR item.
Referred Common Information Repository content	Displays a summary of the CIR information defined by the selected CIR item
Insert Explicit Reference Insert Implicit Reference	Inserts a reference to the selected CIR item. If both implicit and explicit reference types are permitted by the current product’s definition, both buttons are available.
Cancel	Cancels the current operation and closes the dialog box.
