Connect to the Windchill Server

Additional Windchill Capabilities > Service Information Management > About Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module > Additions to Arbortext Editor > Connect to the Windchill Server

Arbortext Editor can be integrated into the Windchill Service Information Manager environment. It can then access the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module functions through the dynamic S1000D menu.

Connection must first be established with the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module.

1. Select Object > Connect.

The Connect dialog box is displayed.

2. Enter the appropriate connection details.

Contact your Windchill administrator to obtain the connection details.

Connection details are stored in the site preferences file (siteprefs.xml) of your Arbortext Editor installation. For example:

C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor 6\adapters\com.ptc.prowt.arbortext\siteprefs.xml

The server location was added during installation of the Windchill Service Information Manager — S1000D Module client application.

3. Click Next.

4. Enter the appropriate context and workspace.

5. Click Finish.
