This section describes how to upgrade your ECAD toolset and have the data available for Windchill use.

When upgrading from an older version of an ECAD authoring application to a newer one, before invoking an ECAD Check In action on a design the file needs to be opened in the newer authoring tool from the workspace local directory, saved and then invoke the ECAD Check In action.

A DxDesigner schematic is created in DxDesigner version 2005. You want to invoke the ECAD Check In operation after the upgrade, it needs to be opened in DxDesigner 2007, from the workspace local directory, saved and then invoke the ECAD Check In action.
