Saving a File
The > and > commands allow you to save an Creo Illustrate file to your workspace.
Once the file is saved, you must check-in the file in order to have it visible to other Windchill users.
File Save
1. In an active Creo Illustrate session, select > .
2. Enter a file name for the illustration in the File name field.
3. Choose the Creo Illustrate version in the Save as type field to save the illustration as a Creo Illustrate file.
4. Click Save.

In addition, a preference can be set to automatically upload the file to the workspace by accessing the WindchillPreference Management utility and selecting Upload After Native Save.

5. If the newly saved file doesn’t display in the Workspace Local Directory (WLD):
a. Go to Windows explorer.
b. Navigate to the WLD folder and select > .
c. Close Windows explorer.
File Save As
1. In an active Creo Illustrate session, select > .
2. Click OK.

In addition, a preference can be set to automatically upload the file to the workspace by accessing the WindchillPreference Management utility and selecting Upload After Native Save.
The > command performs the same function as Save in Creo Illustrate when you are connected to the Windchill Workgroup Manager. You can also use Save as to handle files which are not in the WLD, but which nonetheless needs to be managed in Windchill.

3. If the newly saved file doesn’t display in the Workspace Local Directory WLD:
a. Go to Windows explorer.
b. Navigate to the WLD folder and select > .
c. Close Windows explorer.
